China-Russia natural gas pipeline will possibly go live one month in advance
Recently during the national two sessions, Wang Yilin, chairman of China national petroleum corporation (CNPC) and a member of the national committee of the Chinese people's political consultative conference (CPPCC), told reporters that the China-Russia natural gas pipeline will be put into operation about one month in advance.
In May 2014, China and Russia signed a natural gas purchase and sales contract for the eastern route with a total value of more than $400 billion and an annual gas supply of 38 billion m³ with a term of up to 30 years.
The east China-Russia natural gas pipeline project starts from the border of China and Russia in Heihe city, Heilongjiang province. It passes through nine provinces, autonomous regions and cities, and ends at Shanghai. With a total length of 3,371km, it is the longest natural gas pipeline with the largest diameter and highest pressure in China.
It is likely Smart Gas Meters will be widely deployed in Russia
According to local news from Russia, The Russian vice President of energy proposed to introduce smart gas metering and collection system, referring to the application of smart meters.
Since Russia nature gas is supplied by national gas pipeline network, it is likely that smart gas meters will be widely used in Russia.
Further research on this topic will be conducted locally in the near future.
